Dewey Leggett has been involved in the Dallas real estate legal community since 1989, and worked with both local and national firms, became a member of Friesland Law Firm in 2013. Dewey primarily focuses his practice on commercial real estate law, commercial lending, and general business matters. He has been published in national and regional magazines and newsletters, and testified as an expert in real estate title disputes. Although a native Tarheel, Dewey was raised an Okie, graduating from Hooker High School and then from Oklahoma Christian University with a 4.0 gpa at age 20. He went on to receive his law degree with honors from the University of Oklahoma before coming south to set up roots in Texas. He and his wife Gina have a daughter, Lindy, attending Harding University, and a son, Luke, who attends school in the Lovejoy I.S.D., where Dewey is heavily involved in booster clubs and is the voice of the nationally recognized Lady Leopard Volleyball team. Dewey, a former member of the Board of Trustees of Oklahoma Christian University, enjoys bird hunting with his Brittanys, working on his old Camaros, and once was a formidable competitor on several bass fishing tournament trails.
